Pretty sure there were people actually living here. Polystyrene containers are still in vogue. I was just about to buy this butter. Until I was told that “canning does not preserve butter”. I think this is called juxtaposition. This is a light-switch on a streetlight. Quite possible the switch for the streetlight. But the amazing colours of everyday life make up for it. I’m really looking forward to the monsoon, when these foetid drains overflow and we have to walk through the resulting “water” to get anywhere. I really have no idea. Drink Coke. Light blue seems to be a theme. The crumbling colonial structures are pretty beautiful. I was walking along a perfectly useful path next to a very busy road, when suddenly it decided to change into a tiny ledge. All roads lead to Shwedagon. The scene of our escape from being locked in the lake. Or as I like to call it, Gategate. Good news is that LPG bottles seem to be available locally. Bad news is I’m not sure there’s a stringent testing regime… Baking success, with all local ingredients. Although the cooling rack leaves something to be desired.
